Problems with PREMPT_RT kernel error and 7i76e

The calibration screen shows three tabs for axis0, axis1, and axis2.

I can edit the fields in axis0, and axis2, but the page for axis1 is esentially blank with only the headings and row of buttons (PIDs etc. do not display).

If I try to save to file in any tab, it gives me an error. If I try to test any axis, it give me an error.

That's probably a INI file error of some kind
Calibrate relies on parsing the INI file to fill out the calibrate menus
and any mistakes or missing items in the [AXIS_N] sections of the
INI file will cause problems

So, is there a way to correct the error I get when using PNCconf. Could this error also be related to incorrect entries in the INI file?

Is this error because PNCconf is not set-up to use PREMT-RT?

I doubt the INI errors have any relation to preempt-RT at all

I would just look at the INI file and see whats wrong with AXIS_1

Calibrate works for me with this set of hal/ini files

Maybe they can give you some hint of whats wrong with your config files

Did you resolve this problem?
I get the same error with PnCConf, 7i76e and PREMT_RT:

roger@linuxcnc:~/linuxcnc/configs/millton$ uname -a
Linux linuxcnc 3.2.0-4-rt-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT RT Debian 3.2.81-1 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Error message:

"PNCconf encountered an error. The following information may be useful in troubleshooting:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.7/pncconf/pages.py", line 1068, in on_xaxistune_clicked
def on_xaxistune_clicked(self, *args): self.t.tune_axis('x')
File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.7/pncconf/tests.py", line 463, in tune_axis
if not self.a.check_for_rt():
File "/usr/bin/pncconf", line 1640, in check_for_rt
elif hal.is_rt and not hal.kernel_version == actual_kernel:
AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'kernel_version'"

I suppose there is an attribute called kernel_version that is missing int the ini file.
Any idea to solve this?
