First of all, sorry for this extra long post. Needless to say that I am a newbie.

I have a brand new CNC. It uses a Leadshine mx4660 control board, which has its own a break out board. I installed a Mesa 5i25 card in order to add a parallel port to my computer so ita can communicate with the mx4660.

I copied a 5i25 folder containing various .pin, .xml and .bit files into lib/firmware/hm2/

I flashed successfully this .bit file that someone provided me : freeby.mesanet.com/5i25_mx4660x2.bit .

Using mesaflash --device 5i25 --readhmid > mypinout.txt , I get this print out (which does not mean much to me unfortunately):

Leadshine provide this information, among other things, regarding the mx4660:

Now when I run PnCConf Wizard, I go through these screens (omitting the splash screen):

So far so good I think. I don't see a mx4660 configuration in the dropdown list. I read somwhere to pick prob_rfx2 in that case. Now on the next screen, after accepting components changes I have no clue what to do. These fields and dropdown lists mean nothing to me.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

As a first step, I would assign:

stepgen 0 = x axis stepgen
stepgen 1 = y axis stepgen
stepgen 2 = z axis stepgen

Also, unselect the "parallel port" in the first screen, you don't have any. The 5i25 is not a parallel port.
