Ok so I've been trying to tune everything today and I think it's going pretty good except the z and Y axis are moving the wrong way, so I go into ini file and change the output scale from 10 to -10 but when I do this and start up linuxcnc the axis runs away. I'm not really sure why it's doing this.

To reverse the direction of a analog servo you need to change both the analog
output scale and the encoder scale

Before you change anything, are you sure that things are moving the wrong way?

Increasing Z should increase the gap between the spindle and the table.
Increasing Y should move the spindle backwards relative to the table.

With moving tables it is easy to get confused.

Easiest way to visualize this is the keyboard keys reflect the direction of travel of the cutter. On a table machine jogging left key is table movement to the right.

Your encoders have to reflect that. Make sure you have the encoders counting in the right direction. So on your Z the count has to increase when moving up. Confirm that 1st before attaching the motors.
