Mesa 7i76e - motor/driver does not work on Port 1 was created by anli
Good morning,
I have a JMC iHSV57-30-18-36-21-38 driver and connect it to the Mesa 7i76e. On port 0 and 3 (didn't try 2) it works well. On port 1 I can't get it to turn. Because it is y axis driver I want to connect it to port 1 (TB2, pin 7-12). I try it with the attached configs.
Why can't I connect the driver to port 1?
Thanks a lot for your help in advance!

I don't see anything obvious wrong in the hal/ini files
though you might
1. Lengthen the step time to say 5000 ns
2. Lengthen the setup /hold times to 20000 ns
3. Remove the setp pid.?.maxerror .0005 lines from the hal file
4. If you are using differential drive, rewire for single ended
5. verify that the output levels from stepgen 1 step and DIR are valid
STEP+ and DIR+ should be close to 5V if LinuxCNC is not running
STEP- and DIR- should be close to 0V if LinuxCNC is not running

Found it - timing error / one "0" was missing => timing was 500 not 5000. Dont know why
