Hello everyone,
I am an amateur at Linuxcnc, I am trying to change the configuration, I have a 5i25+7i76 table card. When configured 2 or 3 years ago with lunuxcnc 2.7 all the pins in pncconf came out, now I have updated to Linicnc 2.8 and wanted to change some things and I find that a tab with the pins from 1 to 16 the pins come out from 17.
Pins from 1 to 16 really exist in the machine (in PNCConf they do not appear).
I also see that now in PNCConf you can choose each pin if it is of entry or exit, I have plenty of exit pins and I lack entry.

Sorry for my English (Google translator).

What Board Name and Firmware did you select?

I don't see the same as your pics for any of 5125 selections.

That is odd, attached is what I see.
Did you try clicking the Accept button to see if that makes a difference?

Warning: Spoiler!

This may be because of non-english translations.
Can you try running it with english locale?

I have changed the language to English and the 7I76 I/O (SS #0) tab appears with all the input/output pins.
The I/O Connector 2 tab are seen from 17 to 33 What are they for if they already leave on the 7i76 i/o tab (SS#0)?

Thank you for your answers.

Angel

Sound like you have a 5i25/7i76 using the one 7i76 option in pncconf.
This option 'turns off' the second 7i76

The 17-33 IO are the available pins on the 5i25 that are not used for the second 7i76.

You should be able to use the original configuration files from 2.7 with 2.8, there isn't any need to re-run the config tools if you are only upgrading.

However, you did mention changing some things, so what is it that you want to change?

Sometimes it is easier to just tweak the HAL file than to start again from scratch.
