I am setting up my gantry router (XYYZA) with Mesa 7i92TH and having a problem getting my A axis to operate properly. I cannot rotate in both directions. I have a step on DB16 but nothing on direction (I assume DB17). Here is a copy of card configuration. Where is channel 4 direction?

Configuration pin-out:

Any settings in Pnconfg has no affect on any of these settings. I hope some one can help before I go nuts.
Thanks Jan

That is the firmware for GeckoDrive G540 as it has a charge pump on pin 16 so that stepgen needs only steps for that function.
There are plenty of other firmware included in the download for Mesa 7i92, just open .pin files with a text editor and check if they do have the pins you need.

Interesting. Thanks for the reply. I just got this board on last Monday and I can not find any reference the unit has this firmware. Can I edit the GeckoDrive G540 pin file and save it? I don't know how to load it back into the 7i92 card but I assume I will use Mesaflash utility program.
Thanks

The support archive with the firmware is here:

www.mesanet.com/software/parallel/7i92t.zip

Depending on the breakout board used, you likely want

7i92t_5abobx2d.bin
or
7i92t_mx4660d.bin

Thanks for the reply. Some times its not worth getting out of bed. I decided to install the latest version of mesaflash form github and now it tells me 7i92 board not found. I looked at other posts that say the same things but so far nothing suggested seems to work. My router loads and runs fine. Any help would be great.
Thanks Jan

mesaflash --device 7i92t --addr 10.10.10.10 --readhmid
If that works
mesaflash --device 7i92t --addr 10.10.10.10 --write NAME_OF_THE_BIT_FILE
and
mesaflash --device 7i92t --addr 10.10.10.10 --reload
That is if you have set the jumper on the Mesa 7i92t for the 10.10.10.10 IP address.
Otherwise replace the 10.10.10.10 with 192.168.1.121

Note that those device names would be "7i92t" for a 7I92t[x]

Edited my previous post to reflect card name denominator.

Thanks for the reply.
I can ping 10.10.10.10 and it is successful.
I put in mesaflash --device 7i92 --addr 10.10.10.10 --readhmid and I get no 7i92 board found.
I tried mesaflash --device 7i92t --addr 10.10.10.10 --readhmid and I get No 7i92t board found.
I put in mesaflash --device 7i92th --addr 10.10.10.10 --readhmid and I get no 7i92th board found.
Everything worked fine before I updated Mesaflash and my cnc router works OK (except for A axis)
I install the latest version of mesaflash because 7i92t manual said I needed version 3.4.5 or later.
Hope someone can help.
Thanks Jan
