Hi, long time lurker, first time poster. I have been brute forcing my way to learn this stuff (as opposed to being smart I guess).
I have a 7i95T board and see others are having trouble with it not being in the drop down menu also. What's the best way forward?
- Saw confusing abbreviations and maybe suggestions to use the 7i96S (as a template) and then mod it from there?
- Use the Mesa configuration tool ?
- Or are there files from the mesa site that get used in this scenario?
store.mesanet.com/index.php?route=produc...69_62&product_id=383
I've had the most trouble selecting a controller board, just need a bit of direction cheers

I would use mesact since pncconf does not currently support the 7I95

Ok thanks heaps for the reply's. I have been trying my best to give it a crack and have learnt a lot. But for now my main problem is networking. I configured my router to 192.168.1.1 default with a range of 192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.250 subnet 255.255.255.0
192.168.1.121 is the address the card wants, so my config should allow for that yea?
My problem is mesact cannot find the card, and plugging into multiple pc's it doesn't seem to identify and be assigned an ip address. Ive tried the jumpers in multiple positions for eeprom and bootp (i know little about this) and the fallback position which is noted in the manual, but doesn't help because I haven't been able to flash anything to it because I cannot connect.
I wouldn't ask for help if I hadn't been held up on this for a month already. Am I missing something simple?

No router or switch or hub, Mesa must be connected directly to PC.
Set the PC address to 192.168.1.100 then try
ping 192.168.1.121

I think I have a similar setup with yours for my lathe.
Are you controlling the delta vfd with modbus connected on one end to the mesa smart serial port?
I also have delta vfd, is there anything else I should know about?
Did you got this setup running?
I saw in your github that the spindle hal files are commented out in the ini file.

If you were talking about my config - yes, modbus vfd hal files are commented out, since in testing phase I dont always need everything connected. There are few components to pick from, if you want to control VFD using modbus.

Yes, I am talking about your config. I did not yet had time to test anything.
Did you had any issues controlling the delta vfd using modbus?
Did you controlled it using the pktUart on the mesa serial port?
Thanks in advance!
