Sorry for this noob question but:

I could install the buttons, but when I click on any of then there is a message saying it could not locate the respective ngc file.

Where I have to put these ngc files?

It depends on what path you have configured in your ini file for:
[DISPLAY]
PROGRAM_PREFIX
and
[RS274NGC]
SUBROUTINE_PATH

Note: PROGRAM_PREFIX location is searched before SUBROUTINE_PATH so if you have the same name in both the latter will never get loaded.
