Conversational CAD CAM

Hey tux once I'm finished I can make you a special version if you want with no special tool stuff. I'm integrating my machines with a lot of extra features that provide the other stuff that you need for production CNC machines like part counter and lots of other stuff.

The dream here is just too give back to linuxcnc a bit. I'm not going to bend over backwards to change things for people am making this for me. But I also am happy to accommodate other workflows where I can. Also I never use gmocappy and probably won't want to put the effort into testing on that too..

Also are you testing on the newest config I made. I just tested that again. And using axis fanuc sim. the .ngc file loads automatically. I'm using 2.10 linuxcnc debian iso. (I actually have never managed to replicate your bug but try this latest one please and see if you can find it. Also I been running parts on the production lathe all week and fixing a couple of bugs I found plus new features. This will probably get refined over the next few months and I'll keep adding updates here when I get time.

Tommy can you see if this works for you if you get time I want to get a few 2nd opinions and make sure most people can get this to work.

yep no stress. hopefully as time goes on people will test this and use it. just would be a waste if it never got used. But i have 7 cnc machines myself that are getting the conversational stuff and a general upgrade of linuxcnc. and it's worth the time just for me so not too fussed if no one else uses this. machines are getting pretty cool now. with all the auto tool measure stuff it all makes a massive difference how fast jobs get done. and auto tool measuring means that i don't get the chance to make mistakes with tool offsets and they always stay loaded so i don't do any hacks. cause the fastest option is clicking measure and walking away to carry on programming on cam

YouTube will be lucky to buy you a carton of beer a month but if you use it to promote your business that can be a good business. You need a business plan to put it together... which means you have some hard thinking ahead!

I hate to say it, but i will have to become a youtuber or start training schools, be it online or live, ... or start doing flooring as this has gone from 2-4 euro per sq meter two years ago, to 11-14 euro now! And of course, i am bloody good at it, but .... oh hell no.

That kind of sucks. Maybe in a few months you can take up servicing all these "new" Chinese machines when they start breaking down. But in the interim sounds like your screwed.

Our "businessmen" used EU subsidies to buy machines they didn't need at all, only to put them up for sale after a year or two... This is one big fraud where thieves make money and honest people lose.
