Yes the module name change from emc to linuxccnc.
I don't know how recently 2.5 was merged to master but it should be there.
You may need to make clean;make
to clear out every thing.
and of course you must run linuxcnc from the terminal (I'm sure you know that)

I just pulled and compiled master it worked for me.

you can ignore the warning:

** (gscreen.py:29671): WARNING **: expected enumeration type GtkEntryIconPosition, but got GtkPositionType instead

do you switch between 2.5 and master from the same terminal ? I had to close the terminal and start again.

I realize i forgot to mention the new way of loading gscreen
add a line like this to your ini file;

HALCMD = loadusr python /home/chris/glade/gscreen/gscreen.py axis.ini axis.ini

changing the path and config names to match your config.

Ok here is a patch file for master to add gscreen as it is now.
It supports lathes better now.

Still experimental!!

need to change the INI entry to:
[DISPLAY]
DISPLAY = gscreen

need a resolution of 1280 x 768 or better 1280 x 1024

Chris,

You might want to start a new thread "Gscreen" :) took me a while to remember where you were talking about it...

Will it run stand alone now?

Yes you are right - I will start a new thread.

Yes the last posting is a patch file to add gscreen to master as a stand alone GUI.
But it's still experimental.

Cncbasher is testing it on his setup.
