I wonder why wx-python has not been token into consideration as a valid alternative to pyVCP and GladeVCP. Or am I wrong?
a rapid search into the forum didn't return anything about.
wx-python can be graphic programmed with wx-glade, and offer more graphic elaboration than GtkGlade.
the graphic code is saved directly in .py, so no need for a .ui file.
I don't know too much about, but i wanted to post here something so if someone more experienced than me wants to add impressions here is welcome.
Regards, Davide.

pyvcp used tkinker because that is what AXIS gui uses.
GladeVCP use gtk glade because it is mainstream and that is what I was familiar with.
Classicladder used GTK and I started in EMC working on CL
The fact that GtkGlade uses a UI file and is not embedded in python or c code is a feature.
But you can use WX if you like just import HAL into your python program.

Ok thanks, the situation is a bit clearer to me.
as of now i'm really enjoying gladevcp, so i just have to say thank you for this. If one day i'll need features that i can only have in wx-python, i'll try that way.
but till then..
Davide.

ok great glad I cleared it up.
Your very welcome - I knew gladeVCP would be a winner !
Just to be clear - I coded the basic gladeVCP features but Pavel and Michael took it from there and made it into the rich toolbox it is now.
What feature does wx have that GTKglade not have ? I am not familiar with wx .

i didn't dig so much but i saw some border design which i cannot do in gladevcp.
I liked more the fact that you had all into one file, so writing callbacks should be more simple.
