I'm only new to this so apologies in advance if this is a stupid question.
I'm driving my CNC via a touch screen monitor so for a lot of my usage I'll be using Touchy. When I start Touchy it starts windowed and disappears off the right of the screen whilst not touching the bottom (Probably initially designed on a widescreen monitor, mine is a 1280x1024). If I maximise the display it looks and works as expected, however I can't get it to open automatically maximised. I thought it would remember it's position from last run which it doesn't, I've had a look at its .ini file but can't see anything related to window size, position or status. Where do I need to look?

Hi
The solutions for Axis should work for touchy, which I think still has a pygtk interface
Devilspie is probably the easiest one

Unless someone else knows of a built in method to do it I'll use devilspie.
Thanks for the info ArcEye

So there's no built in function/setting to modify to do it automatically? I'd have thought there would have been a setting file somewhere else with all it's positioning and size settings.Hi

@justinj,
Have you taken a look to gmoccapy?
It does offer a settings page to configure different starting options.

I haven't and I just searched it to see what it is and it looks quite nice! It looks like a nice blend of Axis and Touchy. I will definitely give it a shot too! Thanks for pointing it out, when I searched "LinuxCNC touch screen" the only thing that came up was Touchy in the results so I thought that was all I had. Nice to have variety and options@justinj,
