qtdragon_hd - File not open error

Currently I am running QTDragon on 2.8.4 and I want to move to give HD a try.

On a new SSD I just installed Debian 12, LCNC 2.9.   I and giving QTDragon_HD.  I have the machine (XYZ Mill) moving and homing.  I am getting a "file not open" error when pressing the E-Stop button or the "Machine On" button (to turn it off) on the screen.  The buttons seem to work except for the error message coming up.  And Idea what I might be missing? 

 

Think in the settings page you'll have 'auto reload program' enabled.
Since you have not ever loaded a program it's probably causing the error.
try unchecking it. Let me know if that changes things,

It was already unchecked. I tried checking it. Tried again, Unchecked it and tried again. No difference either way. I haven't yet loaded a file.

if you can add -d to the INI line

DISPLAY = qtvcp -d qtdragon_hd

then run from a terminal and post the output that might help me.

It seems the version you have is a little out of date.
I'm sure the problem is the missing paths in the preference file.

from the print out;
[QTvcp.QTVCP.WIDGETS.FILE_MANAGER][DEBUG] lAST FILE PATH: (file_manager.py:205)
[QTvcp.QTVCP.WIDGETS.FILE_MANAGER][DEBUG] lAST FILE PATH: (file_manager.py:205)

This line is now 215 on the current version - I think I fixed this bug already.

Is it impeding you? You could edit the preference file, but I think just loading a file will fix it too.

At this time I'm just starting to migrate to Bookworm and 2.9 with QTDragon_HD. I'm in no hurry at all. The next thing I need to work on is getting my touch screen to work. In just the OS I can tap on say the teminal screen in the task bar and it open. I can put the arrow cursor anywhere on the screen with my finger. If I tap the LinuxCNC shortcut on the screen it selects it meaning it dims the icon but that's it. This all worked with Ubuntu Mint 19 and 2.8.4.

Persei802 (Jim) made the screen - I just integrate/tweak it for the linuxcnc project.
I'm am so happy Jim donated the screen.

I tried loading a file but that didn't change anything. Perhaps I should switch to master so I am not asking about things that are already fixed. You have enough work to do and don't need to be doing it twice.

What would be the best way to get the latest version of QTDragon_HD?
