The paths given will be relative to the INI file. So if the glade files are in the same folder as the INI you would remove the ../

So my best option would be to put the glade files in the same folder as the INI file and then remove the ../?

You can put them anywhere you want, but then need to give a correct absolute or relative path to them.

That's something of a generic (not LinuxCNC) question. Windows and Mac use the ../ to burrow down a level too.
I suspect that a Google search will turn up a better and more complete answer than any of us can type.
