Glade crashes when adding Dialog

this time I'm trying to get into glade, going through a nice tutorial  on my new favorit page
when I try to add any type of dialog glade closes. When starting from terminal it shows memory access error

any hint whant I'm doing wrong?

linuxcnc 2.8.4 -> installation through JT's guide

Python 2.7.16
 

You can try with the latest Glade version for Python 2: www.linuxcnc.org/dists/buster/base/binar...k2_3.8.6-1_amd64.deb

The hint was definitely into the right direction. Thank you!

There was something strange with my installation. Well, I’m really bad at Linux, but I guess I installed a wrong package which even caused trouble installing the latest version.

I was afraid to install the latest version from the beginning, because of how the documentation is written.

For now everything looks fine, no memory access error
