Hi,
I was using the very good probe screen from user 'Verser' (thank you!) and recently upgraded my version of linuxcnc (master) and unfortunately some of the probe screen functions no longer work. Probing the outer diameter of a cylinder for example. The probe will move a small distance in x then stop and generate error message:
Must be in MDI mode to issue MDI command
Probing z down still works however. I had a look in probe_screen.py, is this still a valid command? :
486 self.command.mode( linuxcnc.MODE_MDI )
Any help appreciated!
cheers,
John

Hello.
I have the same problem.
I have this version of Linux: Linux digicnc 3.4-9-rtai-686-pae # 1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 3.4.55-4linuxcnc i686 GNU / Linux
Which module do I need to update to fix the error?
I can't update everything - I'm afraid something won't stop working for me.
Can you please advise me?
Thank you very much.

Which version of LinuxCNC do you have? Your Linux version is (largely) irrelevant.
