5i25 bitfiles

want to know what are bitfiles and what should I do with them to configure 5i25, are the steps present in this link meant to be implemented exactly as they are or do they depend on the machine?

Bitfiles are firmware files for FPGAs. They configure the FPGA on the 5I25 for its intended application.

5I25 bitfiles differ in the number of step generators, encoders, PWM generators etc and the
pins these functions are exported on. This means that different daughtercards typically require
different bitfiles on the 5i25.

Typically there is no need to compile your own bitfiles as most standard configurations
are already available.
