Hi all,
is it possible to use this MAX II EPM570 CPLD with Linux CNC natively without consider it like expansion of another card?
Sorry for my low knowledge in the sector and thanks a lot :D

Bello, I am not sure what you are trying to achieve, but if you are trying to learn programming fpga’s I would consider getting a mesa fpga card and have fun learning and if you brick it at least you know that Peter or someone on this bulletin board will try to help you. You can also use it in your future motion control projects.

Thank you for the feedback.
I already have a mesa 7i76 and I'm using it with linuxcnc because has the right driver to manage it.
I would like to know if can i programming this other card and if can i use it with linuxcnc. I cannot understand if linuxcnc permit me to use it natively and which driver i must select.
It's clear my doudbt?

Thanks a lot

That card is not usable with LinuxCNC or any other cnc control software.
Might be able to make it work with GRBL, but even that will have a lot of issues to overcome.
It has no way of communicating with anything outside, it does have JTAG for programing the chip and what looks like a UART , but nothing else.
It is meant to be programmed and running on it's own.
