Hello everyone,
i have these combintation and just want to test the electronics, motors ets.. And... I am a noob, seems like.
I get everything to work, another much smaller nema 17 motor i have testet runs fine. Mostly with the defaults.
But these bigger ones still won´t run.
My chinese dealer said driver and motor comes preconfigured. I tested all wirings, proof it and so on.
Yesterday i got a tip out of a video to look at those values i circled red in my jpeg, also to have a look at the max. accelleration.
But i found no further information related to my combination. So i play around reduce the max. accelleration and change the values.
First by new setup, later in the machine ini file.
So the motor make a little "move" at start and sometimes when i drive the axis on the UI. (But not realy turn around!)
Then sometimes i get a red blinking LED, obviosly that means positionfailure.
But when i change that values i don´t see that failure anymore.
So seems to be a little progress, but the motor won´t spin. I testet 2 motors and two drivers out of my 4. Same result.
It will be nice if anyone have an idea, that steal me two weeks the afternoons.

How is the 7I76 connected to the drives?
Sometimes you must use a single ended connection:
Drive Step+ ==> 7I76 +5V
Drive Step- ==> 7I76 Step-
Drive Dir+ ==> 7I76 +5V
Drive Dir- ==> 7I76 Dir-

I do all possible connections. First as shown at the Homepage where i sell it. Pul+/Dir+/En+ from the 7i76 to the drive, Gnd bridged, same reversed. All + and - to the drive. Only Pul+ and Dir+, same only with the minuses.
Note: When i connect the en+ of the driver to 5V from the Mesa card the drive shows a failure, equal of the rest of the wiring.
I think i do each way for 5 times...
So sadly your suggestion is testet.
But thank you anyway!

Note that normally ENA should not be connected as the ENA pins

As i say, i have testet all possible wirings without crate a short.
I am more and more sure that those values in my jpeg are the mess.
I seen yesterday a video from Talla83, playing around with that values, sometimes he get the same failures. Pull failuers, and a no spinning motor.
I test it an post the results after this for the next one. Greets from Germany

Get it.Its a thing with the values i circled red in the jpeg i send with my initial message. Also i have a look at the "STEPGEN_MAXACCEL:" and STEPGEN_MAXVEL: at the right bottom corner at the same menupage. Or later in the calibration tool. Motors run fine with wiring PUL /DIR AND PUL- DIR-, nothing else except the motor encoder.That what i want, rest is optimisation .Hope nobody need but maybe this will help anyone.Great thanks!
I also correct values in the .ini which are have the same meaning as STEPGEN_MAXACCEL & STEPGEN_MAXVEL at other points.

P should be 1000 for all joints/axis if the servo period is at 1000000.
Do you get any errors when using LinuxCNC pointing to watchdog bite or lost connection?

Meanwhile i have no issues with that "1", with a "1000" also no issues.
But i think on it further on.
I think Talla83 said the same in avideo, i just think on that.
So thanks for your information!
