using tkemc GUI. axis labels change in Auto mode was created by southbayguy
I'm running LinuxCNC v 2.8.4. It is a three-axis mill with brush DC servomotors and encoders, a classic machine. I use a VitalSystems Motenc-Lite interface board.
In my motenc.ini file, in the [DISPLAY] section, the display is specified as tkemc ... like the machine, a classic interface.
Everything works. The machine enables, homes, runs in Manual and Auto modes.
Here's the weird thing: When I'm in Manual mode, the three axis labels are (in big black letters) X Y Z. When I change into Auto mode or MDI mode, those axis labels change to (in big black numbers) 0 1 2.
That's one thing, then the other is that when I change into Auto mode or MDI mode, the radio buttons for choosing Relative or Machine position is greyed out. I can't choose.
I figure there's a configuration file someplace that governs this stuff, so I'm posting this query under "Basic Configuration." Also, I couldn't find a tkemc category in the GUI forum.
If anyone has guidance for me, I'm all ears.
Thanks.
