So I have a couple of 3 phase contactors with 24V DC coils that I'm using to switch single phase ( Actvice & Neutral ) to some PSUs.
As I'm only using 2 of the 3 contacts of the contactor can I use the 3rd contact ( 24VDC ) to latch the contactor on or do I need a few more Aux contacts ?

As a workaround that certainly works. Only issue might be that in the 24V branch the current might not reach the specified wetting current of the contactor and you might get oxidized contacts. Doesn't happen often but just so you know.

Cheers.
It would only be coil current, about 300ma. I guess I can only give it a try and see how I go.
