questions on setting up a Buildbot

i am not 100% sure how to configure buildbot to do that. looks like it mostly works with Git.
seems more like something cron would do, but i may be completely wrong.

also, seems like it could DOS my own internet connection...

i appreciate your warning, and will likely not continue buildbot. even with personal experimentation, i lose a lot of access to it without the web UI i couldn't find a repo for.

i mean, if i could have helped with something like Rpi builds/testing, even for MesaCT, and just provide a private link to the developer/tester of the resulting deb file/s, it may be worth it. but otherwise, i don't see it. i mean, it runs happily on 12-cores, as i was expecting a fair amount of compiling to be taking place.
