FedEx lost package valued in more than 14000 USD

EUsurplus is one of the largest European representative for Mesa products.
Last year, without almost stock for the most popular boards, we made a large order that departed from California in 9 of November.

Strangely the package was delayed (1, 2, 3 days ... then a week then a month...) after many attempts of contacting FedEx, many emails, also with the cooperation of Mesa USA, and nothing. Package was declared LOST.

This was 6 months ago, and today we got the information that the package arrived to Portugal. Unbelievable day for us, as this lost made my company shake.
To celebrate the finding of the package we are offering at a superb price the following items. We are offering this items at max quantities of 2 units per client / product. Aww. I would have been interested in something there I think maybe. Always a bit late to the party.
I'm kinda late dipping my toe in anyway so I'd need to study for a while just to figure out what board I could use anyway.

The cynical truth is that carriers don't insure packages, ever. They accept a handsome fee to increase an imaginary number called "declared value" (DV) which has no meaning other than the upper bound of what you can sue them for when they lose your stuff. It is always a struggle to collect, and the cost of the struggle approaches or exceeds the amount of "old money" you're chasing. The value of the DV fees is not in recovering losses (not likely), but in making a careful carrier more careful, because they don't want the struggle either. It was always thus since the days of wooden ships, and trains, trucks, and aeroplanes did not change it.

I'm Glad you found your package!...

I find it a little strange why this company always loses packages. Then, after a very long time, they can send you an email to tell you that the box has been recovered. But everyone chooses who to deliver the parcels. I am the type that buying stuff from the internet is a hobby(I can spend all the XD salary). I have tried with several companies to deliver, but I like how speedpak gives, always reach the limit time, never be late. What do you think of the best delivery company?
