Need help having problems computor is freezing up

When I start up emc2 (the launch pigeon) the computer freezes up, every time.

Do I have a bad copy of emc2 I didn't understand on how to check the MD5SUM I opened that file but there is a lot of number in that file like 50 or 80. I would like to get my cnc up and running so I can start playing

I had the same problem when I first started and it turned out to be the vidio card .( The board / plug that the monitor connects too.) Changed it out to one from an older computer and it worked. It took me a week to figure that out , but I still could be wrong as I am a beginner myself.

Also I have learned that emc2 works better on a somewhat older computer. I actually grab up every one I can to have spares.
