Downloading from buildbot

I'm trying to download from buildbot. I have found instructions on post #21704 however the file etc/apt/sources.list.d/linuxcnc-buildbot.list doesn't exist. I'm new to ubuntu and linuxcnc. so I'm on a steep learning curve so spelling it out completely would be greatly appreciated.

It won't do unless it has previously been created

sudo gedit

type
deb buildbot.linuxcnc.org/ lucid v2.5_branch-sim
deb-src buildbot.linuxcnc.org/ lucid v2.5_branch-sim

(or whatever buildbot section you want)

and save as
etc/apt/sources.list.d/linuxcnc-buildbot.list
