Errors when trying to run LinuxCNC from LiveCD

I've created a LiveCD that works correctly on a laptop. I ran both the Latency Test and LinuxCNC successfully. The only problem was that the laptop has about 5,000,000nS latency and is therefore no good for CNC control.

I then booted a Windows XP PC with the LiveCD, but it won't run the Latency Test. It just does nothing. No windows open and there are no error message that I can see. When I run LinuxCNC I get a whole bunch of errors that are shown in the attached file.

One problem is this
[ 0.000000] Local APIC disabled by BIOS -- you can enable it with "lapic"
[ 0.000000] APIC: disable apic facility
