Ok, I was just wondering. I know 10.04 has poor touch screen support as I've only been able to get some ELO touch screens to work.

JT, its because the touch screen support, we can´t make work the lg flatron t1710 touchscreen that is on the machine...

We was able to run linuxcnc on ubuntu 12.04 after install al the needed dependencies on a RIP version and compile it. probably it was a wrong package installed on the first try...
Looks like I just have a minor bug, when start linuxcnc the logo doesn't show the version, it show something like "Undefined".
