Simulator stopped working was created by SvenH
After having it run for quite some time the simulator I run on my laptop for preparation stopped working, just after installing some general updates.
The laptop itself is also getting issues with running hot, maybe this is related somehow?
Here is the error I get:
Can this be fixed easlily?

Looks like whatever you updated did something to the X server.
You may well have updated xserver-xorg-video-{whatever your video driver is}, that would be the first thing I looked at
As I have no idea what distro you are using, can't assist beyond that

Try running glxgears. If that doesn't work, then your x server no longer supports
open-gl. That is needed for the 3D preview of Axis. Probably a proprietary
or the wrong generic video driver is conflicting with the 3D operation.
