Hi CNC forum
I have just downloaded LinuxCNC - based on Ubuntu 10.04 and have a minor problem.
During my 'test run' without installation I could see the top and buttom status line and could therefore use Ubuntu.
Now I have installed LinuxCNC and I cannot see the top and buttom line and therefore not 'selecting' anything from a nonexisting menuline..
Reading through the documentation, I can see that I need to change the screen resolution - it seems that my graphic card is not known by Ubuntu.
Am I totally wrong?
Best
Erik

Hi
It is a Ubuntu issue, nothing to do with Linuxcnc, unfortunately our star is still hitched to Ubuntu.
Google 'ubuntu 10.04 menu not visible' and you will find plenty of info and fixes including this one
