After install can not see my wireless networks was created by doronby
I installed the LiveCD in a dell 8300.
It has A WLl-138g v2 Asus PCI wifi card
It does not see any of my wifi lans.
What do I need to do ?

The gnome network manager in Ubuntu 10.04 is crap.
Try installing wicd and see if that cures it

I only have CD and USB on that computer (no DVD)

[Problem Solved]
here is what I did
Download the b43 zip file to a flash drive then drag and drop the file to your ubuntu desktop.
Right-click it and select Extract Here.
Open a terminal and do:
sudo mkdir /lib/firmware/b43
sudo cp Desktop/b43/* /lib/firmware/b43
sudo rmmod -f b43
sudo rmmod -f ssb
sudo modprobe b43
I now have wifi access to net
here is what I did
