sudo apt-get install rtai-modules-3.4-9-rtai-686-pae, can't find package!
sudo apt-get install linux-image-3.4-9-rtai-686-pae is installing perfectly.
apt-key is of course ok. What I should do?

Hi
It is in the same directory, so no idea why you cannot find it
linuxcnc.org/dists/wheezy/base/binary-i3...65.gd99c55e_i386.deb
What is your apt line and where is the file?
regards

Hi!
I made this apt line mistake again! 2.6 base was not correct.
succeeded to install 2.6.2 to Ubuntu Precise. Still some peculatiries when running linuxcnc.
Few error messages from system sometimes. When booting, system tells some bios
timing problem, not available in bios.
can't see coordinates display in Axis screen, only area is little darker.
when trying to change window size in axis the system crashis.
my machine is older Fujitsu Siemens Intel Celeron 32bit 2.8Ghz, 1G ram
I have been running linuxcnc 2.5.4 even in older computer 1.5Ghz processor. 500Meg ram Ubuntu 8.04 without any problems.
Difficult to buy new or used computer, before first installing OS and linuxcnc-2.6.x and testing it.
I am uncertain of version 2.6 functioning. Any ideas?

Hi
It won't be anything to do with the Linuxcnc version, it will be the computer / graphics chip or card
The Axis plot display widget makes heavy use of openGL. Some computers have to use the software version because the hardware GLX acceleration is not supported.
Try this and see if it improves it
wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?Troubl...oftware_based_OpenGL
I have not tried it on Debian, you may have to google to get the package name right if it is not the same as the Ubuntu one

Thanks! Linuxcnc 2.6.2 working now allright.
The other problems are due to old machine and AGP board and also Ubuntu 12.04 incombatypility for the HW system.
I was running Ub. 12.04 in general mode without realtime and got some errors. It is possible also that Precise is somehow ruined
during installation, because I also uninstalled and reinstalled packets.
Conclusion: I should reinstall Precise. This was only testing the linuxcnc2.6. Perhaps I'll test Debian Wheezy.
Windows 7 is running allright in same computer.
Perhaps this is all!. Thanks very much!
