core dumped when run Axis 2.6 was created by htrantx
Please help,

I got core dumped every time i fired up Axis 2.6. This happened with both debian and ubuntu 12 installations. Error was at python: ../../../../../../../src/mesa/drivers/dri/nouveau/nv04_state_raster.c, get_blend_func . Did anyone get this problem?

Hi

I would look at the graphics, that is what the error points towards.

nouveau is normally used as the default driver for nvidia cards, looks like you have a 1.6Mhz P4 with an AGP graphics card?

Axis uses openGL heavily and relies upon hardware acceleration. The widget that does the rendering is a python one called gremlin, that may be the python references.
Some cards are not compatable with this, the implementation of GLX by nvidia can cause a lot of problems with openGL.

It is possible that changing to software based openGL might improve things

Otherwise you probably need to try a new video card, I use Matrox 32MB AGP cards in my workshop P4s and they work well.
Second hand from ebay, they were about £7 each.

regards
