Ubuntu to Debian? was created by Todd Zuercher
is there any advantage to switching a working (but seeing some latency alarm messages) machine from Ubuntu 10.4, to the new hybrid ISO Wheezy?

Hi
'If it ain't broken, don't fix it' , is quite a good maxim.
The advantage of Wheezy is more support for more recent hardware; ethernet controllers, video chips etc., plus lighter window / display managers than the gnome cludge on 10.04
If your current machine runs perfectly well on 10.04, there is probably no need or point.
Regards 'alarming latency messages', I think that was one machine.
I have far better latency using the kernel in the iso on a ridiculously over spec machine, than 10.04 (8 core i7)
and I am getting just the same latency using a homebrew UP kernel and Wheezy on P4s as I was using Ubuntu 8.04 (5 - 9K), but a much better interface.
regards
