Headless

Hi,
I'm trying to set up a headless system for my CNC router based on Gentoo Linux. I already installed RTAI and got the kernel running without major problems. In order to keep the system as small as possible I'm currenlty trying to install EMC2 2.3.5 from source, too.
To reduce dependencies as much as possible I tried to avoid using X or GTK. Unfortunately EMC2' configuration seems to request Tk and other GUI toolkits which I just don't need and ./configure --help option doesn't provide many hints.
Is there a way to install EMC2 from source without graphical user interface?
Regards,
Eric

After a pause I'm still investigating this issue. Fortunately, there are very helpful instructions for Gentoo (wiki.linuxcnc.org/emcinfo.pl?EmcOnGentoo). Nevertheless I built my own live ebuilds which are installing fine so far.
I was able to remove X and GTK+ using
However there is still a dependency to Tk. Is it possible to build EMC2 without Tk?
Or would it even be possible to build EMC2 without Tcl?

You might also want to cross post to the mailing list as a whole different group hangs out there.
