coreboot ..

recently I have discovered "coreboot" bios...... anyone have installed it and use with linuxcnc?

I have no idea how configurable the BIOS is and what control it will have of hardware.

I take it that is the point of your enquiry, does it allow turning off multithreading etc. etc.?

Reading the wikipedea entry, this seems unlikely,

.... a lightweight system designed to perform only the minimum number of tasks necessary to load and run a modern 32-bit or 64-bit operating system

It may run OK on an unproblematic MB, but will offer no assistance with one that requires alterations at BIOS level.
