I am installing 2.6 from a usb stick and I have a question before I screw up. The disk search finds the hard drive and the usb stick. Will I delete information on the usb stick if I continue? If so, how do I remove the usb stick from the list?

Make sure you select the hard drive you want to format and then continue.
Next issue, login screen will not recognize password. I reloaded software 2 times but could not fix the problem...any suggestions?

The log-in is your user name
The password is the password.
This causes no end of problems with people coming from windoze.
Linux is a multi-user system, unlike windoze which can have multiple users.
Debian fixed this in Jessie with a log in dialog with 2 fields, so that it is obvious.

ArcEye,
Thanks, I found the problem in the wee hours last night. You are correct about the transition from windoze. I used to work in unix many moons ago and forgot about the login dialog. You have to read the screen and not ASSUME.
My next question: I am considering using gmocaddy but the wiki seems a bit confusing and the 124 page thread overwhelming to read through. Is it woth the effort?

There is a demo sim amoungst the configs, try that and decide for yourself.
I don't have a touch screen and don't like python, but plenty of other people use it.
