Here's what happened when I used the terminal.
allen@allen-desktop:~/linuxcnc-update.sh$ gpg --keyserver pgpkeys.mit.edu --recv-key 8F374FEF
gpg: requesting key 8F374FEF from hkp server pgpkeys.mit.edu
gpg: key 8F374FEF: public key "EMC Archive Signing Key <This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.>" imported
gpg: Total number processed: 1
gpg: imported: 1
allen@allen-desktop:~/linuxcnc-update.sh$ gpg -a --export 8F374FEF | sudo apt-key add -
OK
allen@allen-desktop:~/linuxcnc-update.sh$ sudo sh -c 'cat > /ect/apt/sources.list.d/linuxcnc.list' <
> deb www.linuxcnc.org/lucid base linuxcnc2.5
> deb-src www.linuxcnc.org/ licid base linuxcnc2.5 EOF
> sudo apt-get update
> sudo apt-get -o Apt::Install-Recommends=true install linuxcnc

Clearly I did some thing wrong. (No surprise there).
I'm going to try Nitro's suggestion and probably give up for today.
Basher, I have to go make a living all day tomorrow, and most likely for the next few days.
Seeing as I don't have the juice to manage making a living with a CNC machine I'll go do something I can pay the bills with.
Thanks for all the help, you folks are great, Allen

Hey color me happy!
Nitro's suggestion worked!!!!
At lest 2.3.0 is starting and homing.
We'll see how far I can go with it.
If I can get the parts made I need for now I will find myself a newer PC and set it up.
Thanks again.
