Booted into Wheezy install, GRUB problems

Booted into my Wheezy install of LinuxCNC a couple days ago, next time I rebooted I only see the Debian Wheezy LinuxCNC install as a boot option in GRUB, and can't figure out how I can boot into my old Ubuntu Lucid Lynx install.

Wheezy makes me "authenticate" to get into the partition/file system that Lucid Lynx is installed on...is it possible that GRUB can't automatically authenticate and see that partition?

If it matters any wheezy and Lucid Lynx are both installed on a single drive with separate partitions. IIRC Lucid Lynx is the primary partition as it was set up first.

How can I make grub see this other drive so that I have both options available to me when my system boots up?

I don't know if this will help you. But you might want to try Grub Customizer.

launchpad.net/~danielrichter2007/+archiv...untu/grub-customizer

It is a pretty nice gui and makes things fairly simple. I use it.

Is there a "Previous Linux versions" or similar sub-folder in the Grub menu?

(Yes, grub supports sub-folders, it surprised me too)
