Hello

The lathe is coming together but I just can't get Linuxcnc to install! :pinch:
I'm using a flashdrive (who uses cd/dvd anyway?) and have tried "Universal USB Installer", "UNetbootin" and "Win32 Disk Imager".
But I'm ether getting an "No CD-rom" or some other error about the display adapter. I'm not at that computer now so I can't check the exact message.

If I remember correctly I had similar issues when installing Linuxcnc on the vmc computer but I don't know how I solved that then..

Any ideas? My Linux experience is basically just running Linuxcnc..

I used this a number of time to load an LinuxCNC iso file into PC computer.
It worked very nice.
I am not affiliated - I just found and it work good.
see at: www.linuxliveusb.com/
Follow instruct at web site to put iso onto USB stick.
But (if not already) then when you boot PC that will be for CNC machine hold key to enter BIOS - go to place about "bootable drives" or "storage" or "boot order" whatever is need by your BIOS and make sure the USB stick is made bootable. Lili (Linux Live) should auto mount it for that purpose. (hint: if choice use "classic" for usb).
