i forgot how to set up grub but u can try this:

Running into no such file or directory errors with dkph check builddeps, ./configure-with and ./autogen is this as a result of the wrong kernel?

you can check what kernel you are using in terminal by command: uname-r .

Comes up with 4.13.0-38 generic, which by my masterful googling seems to be no good.

I got to Grub it was esc AFTER my bios screen. However selecting the kernel says unable to mount root fs on unknown block. Any ideas?!
