Do i have to start from scratch? was created by Mike_Eitel
Maybe i have done a complete nonsense ?

I tried around gmoccapy and did the proposed apt commands.
And also did apt autoremove .... Grrr

Since then i have no chance to reach Internet. Can't see no network in upper menue anymore.
I still have both network cards (ip a) but any programs to configure..

Do i have a chance to save my work?
Thx Mike

Before you go any further I would at least save the contents of the ~/linuxcnc
directory to a usb stick to preserve you LinuxCNC hal and ini files in case you need to
re-install the OS

Not sure how you would lose you network with apt autoremove though

Yes PCW.
Have no glue.
Maybe the combination of synaptics and apt got mad.
And naturally i will copy my directories.

One of my installs has no GUI network tools. I have no idea where they went to. (if they were ever there)
I configured the network with command-line tools and, since it all works now, I haven't tried to get the gui tools back.
