I am running a Chinese 6040 mill with linuxcnc. It works great except I have been unable to figure how to configure spindle control or display the spindle speed.

Any information that would help me get on the right track would be most appreciated. I've included some screenshots of the mach 3 configuration i got from the outfit that sold me the machine.

What type of VFD? There are some handy Modbus drivers for various VFDs.

Vfd is proprietary to the manufacturer. I'm unable to find any information on the thing a seller isn't very helpful. I do have the vfd responding to the buttons in linuxcnc now. Need to know what to manipulate in hal.ini to get the display scaled properly and read from 0 to 24000 instead of 0 to 3000

The display scaling is probably governed by a "setp scale.0.gain 3000" or similar in the HAL file.
