Hello,
I'm a newbie trying to use the Debian Wheezy image with LinuxCNC. I got the image on a USB using Unetbootin, but attempting to either run live or install fails with the following error messages (the first parts are cut off as they flash by very quickly).
The live fails with:

The install fails with:

What am I doing wrong? Thank you.

Yes, apparently they no longer allow sharing with a free account... I've attached the errors in this post.

What Wheezy image are you trying to use? (Is it the one from linuxcnc.org?)
linuxcnc.org/docs/2.7/html/getting-start...tml#_normal_download
If it is maybe your image was corrupted during the download.

Yes, that's the one I'm using. Checksum reports no discrepancies so that's ruled out I think.

Unetbooting has issues with hybrid iso files (such as debian). This has been an issue for a while with debian images. Yes this tool is fine for some other distros.

This is the tool you want, this tool produces a result as what you would get using the dd utility in Linux.

sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/

It will write a raw image to a usb stick, which is the way you want to go.

I think you're right, must have been a Unebootin issue. I used diskimager and successfully got to the installation screen. I'm having a hdd issue right now so I won't complete the installation yet, but I'm on the way. Thanks a bunch for your help!
