Certainly seems like it might be worth a try. Download the Linuxcnc Stretch live iso and run the latency test.

Well the problem is that I do not have access to these, they are about 500km from me

I could try and ask the guy that sells them to do that if he has the time for it.

He was fast to test but running Firefox and some other programs it bogged down to about 100000.

Fresch from boot about 50000

A little inconclusive. It may be OK but it is borderline. You also don't know if bios settings are optimal, so there could be room for improvement.

Well aware of that Todd but as I wrote PC's are far away, starting price is 61$ each (2 pcs) on auction but so far no bids.
