Latest 2.7 install, hm2_rpspi not working, Permissions ? was created by JR1050
Previously, I had an older version of 2.8 pre working with an older hm2_rpspi driver
Hardware- Rspi3-b, mesa 7i90 ,svt_8 bit file , rtpremept patch, raspian os
I ugraded to the latest 2.8 and recompiled in place the driver with the latest source and header files from git
I immediately got invalid read errors , I opened an issue on git. PCW suggested i move to 2.7 .
Today I uninstalled 2.8 and insatlled 2.7 from buildbot, latest version, i recompiled the hm2_ rpspi driver and got this
pi@raspberrypi:~ $ linuxcnc
LINUXCNC - 2.7.12-35-g6a1265c
/usr/bin/linuxcnc: line 282: cd: /home/pi/linuxcnc/configs
hnc: No such file or directory
Machine configuration directory is '/home/pi/linuxcnc/configs/hardinge hnc'
Machine configuration file is 'hnc.ini'
Starting LinuxCNC...
Found file(REL): ./hnc112517.hal
Note: Using POSIX realtime
hm2: loading Mesa HostMot2 driver version 0.15
hm2_rpspi: dlopen: /usr/lib/linuxcnc/modules/hm2_rpspi.so: undefined symbol: rtapi_open_as_root
./hnc112517.hal:24: waitpid failed /usr/bin/rtapi_app hm2_rpspi
./hnc112517.hal:24: /usr/bin/rtapi_app exited without becoming ready
./hnc112517.hal:24: insmod for hm2_rpspi failed, returned -1
Shutting down and cleaning up LinuxCNC...
hm2: unloading
Note: Using POSIX realtime
LinuxCNC terminated with an error. You can find more information in the log:
/home/pi/linuxcnc_debug.txt
and
/home/pi/linuxcnc_print.txt
as well as in the output of the shell command 'dmesg' and in the terminal
I tried an older version of the same driver, same result. this looks like a possible permissions problem? Some thing has changed , any suggestions?

Thanks for your input, but it looks to me like it is trying to load the driver , as it has found it and the hal file. Seems like I could rename the config hnc and that error would go away, which I will do.
