Installing Qjoypad issues

Greetings,

When I tried to install qjoypad on my linuxcnc machine, I ran into a couple of problems. As I am not very crafted in Linux as yet, it is probably a very small problem.
The software needed QT5 so I downloaded and installed it and also cmake. I installed a bit older release of cmake, because the latest release of cmake gave some trouble.

Then I ran all the instructions of qjoypad, but it ran into trouble with the cmake command. I got this error:
CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:9 (find_package):
By not providing "FindQt5Widgets.cmake" in CMAKE_MODULE_PATH this project
has asked CMake to find a package configuration file provided by
"Qt5Widgets", but CMake did not find one.

Could not find a package configuration file provided by "Qt5Widgets" with
any of the following names:

Qt5WidgetsConfig.cmake
qt5widgets-config.cmake

Add the installation prefix of "Qt5Widgets" to CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH or set
"Qt5Widgets_DIR" to a directory containing one of the above files. If
"Qt5Widgets" provides a separate development package or SDK, be sure it has
been installed.

I googled this problem and there are some fixes, but I don’t understand how to imply them. I am still very newbee to the whole Linux thing.
So, can someone please explain to me in plain English what I should do to fix this little problem? I would be most thankful.

I think that qjoypad might be a bit of a dead-end for LinuxCNC.

Is it likely that this approach would meet your needs?
wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?Simple_Remote_Pendant
(everything mentioned is already built-in with LinuxCNC)

Yeeha, at last found some time to try it and indeed: it's dead simple!
I only came up with something strange, the four buttons on the left give the same pin readings as the left joystick. Is this normal behaviour, or is this just my cheap chinese pendant?
It's of course not very important. I'am already very glad I can move my xyz-axis.
Thnx a lot for the support.

Now find some time to fidle some more to see whether it's possible to also move the B and C axis, would be nice.

If the joypad has a switch then try the other position.

It's a bit stupid, but I completely overlooked the analog switch. By switching it on, it remapped my buttons and now I have three more axis at my fingers. :)
WOW! Thank you so much for your help. :)

And I also understand now the rz position in the wiki.
