Hi guys,
I bought a mini pc for my mill. Its a china made XCY fanless pc i7, 4gb ram, 60gb ssd
The jitter is about 190000 ns for servo thread and 175000 ns for base thread.
I am using a Mesa 7i76e, considering that mesa will generate the pulses, what do you think about this latency?

Thats fairly bad but likely could be improved
First I would try a servo thread only test since you may be saturating the RT capabilities of your system with the default 40 KHz base thread:
latency-test 1ms 1ms
or
latency-histogram --nobase --sbinsize 500
Also I would make sure that all power saving options are disabled in the BIOS

I emailed them general questions about it And they said since it's hardware step generation the latency is relaxed and can tolerate 300 usec latency.
The real time kernal is still required
