HI
Apologies if this is a stupid question...i am in unknown waters here..
I installed the Wheezy version of linuxcnc 2.7x from the iso, which comes standard with 3.4-9-rtai-686-pae. Now i would like to install the preempt-rt kernal so that i can use a 7i92. I tried following the documentation - Getting Linuxcnc - section 7.1, but it fails when running "sudo apt-get install linux-image-rt-686-pae" and reports "sag210@graziano:~$ Unable to locate package linux-image-rt-686-pae"
this is on a lenovo desktop, 32 bit
uname -a reports
"Linux graziano 3.4-9-rtai-686-pae #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 3.4.55-4linuxcnc i686 GN"
Im not sure what i am doing wrong, some hints would be appreciated.
Thanks
Henk

+1 For stretch.........Wheezy has been "archived" and sorting out repos can be a bit of a pain.
Stretch is current, has packages for Mate desktop if that is your bent, of if you prefer xfce, the whisker menu plugin is included, which is nice.
