Hello everybody,
First my questions:
1. Do I need to "install" firmware if I want to use the Mesacards? If hostmot2 is installed but my card numbers are not mentioned?
2. about Pncconf:
* does Boardname: "5i25-Internal Data" work for 6i25?
* is Firmeware: "7i76x2" the correct choice?
I'm reading through this Forum and all sources that i can get a hold of but just don't get it.

if you have orderd a plug and play set
you are up to go
7i76x2 is then installed you can check it
with connected 7i76 and powerd up
by typing
mesaflash --device 7i76 --readhmid
the pinout can be usefull to be in a file so
mesaflash --device 7i76 --readhmid > test.pin

1 usually they come with preinstalled firmware, sometimes depending on what you want to use them for and how, you might need to install firmware. A single line in a terminal does that.
2 Yes, 5i25 and 6i25 are the same thing for different types of slots, PCI or PCI-E.
First check the firmware that is already pressent, might be the one you need. You can use the 7i76x2 or 7i76 with one 7i76. Cant remember the exact name.
