I recently installed Linux cnc Wheezy 2.7 on my laptop HP probook 4530s and cannot work with it.
I install it as a test install on my laptop with usb drive and want to install Linux cnc on my desktop PC but I am unable to install it with USB drive.

my desktop PC
processor is Pentium D 3.4GHz and 1GB ram.
My motherboard www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/introduction.php?S_ID=500

I changed several hard disks and data cables but nothing happen.
It loads the window of selecting the install method and after that stuck.
I used universal USB installer to make a bootable file.

You can try a Linuxcnc install using Stretch
www.linuxcnc.org/testing-stretch-rtpreempt/

Some laptops are usable with LCNC with preempt_rt and Mesa Ethernet cards. Otherwise the laptop power management tends to get in the way of RTAI.

I have only worked with one Biostar mainboard in my life and the BIOS was terrible. You might have to try another motherboard.

Is this like debian?
Once I seen on a Tommylight’s YouTube video he used IBM thinkpad laptop

Yes, after Wheezy IIRC there is Stretch and then Buster. Sid is the Debian new/unstable/likely supports you new hardware.

Some laptops are fine with LCNC using preempt_rt and mesa Ethernet FPGA cards.

New IBM/Lenovo are not usable, the last usable one was X60, not the tablet version. T20 and T40 series work with RTAI and parallel port nicely, but all the power saving stuff must be disabled in BIOS.
